The Leadership Playbook for Trusted AI
As organizations move from AI experimentation to business-critical deployment, success depends on more than models and technology. It requires trustworthy data, strong governance, measurable outcomes, effective risk management, and clear executive ownership. In this keynote, Neil Sholay explores what separates organizations that are successfully scaling AI from those stuck in perpetual pilot projects. Drawing on insights from global enterprises, the session examines how leaders can build AI strategies that deliver measurable business value while maintaining trust, transparency and accountability. This reflects major themes explored in Oracle's recent AI Changes Everything leadership discussions around governance, risk, trust and enterprise adoption.

AI Is Not the Transformation. Adoption Is.
Most organizations no longer need convincing that AI matters. The harder question is why so many AI experiments never become real operational value. Corey Harpe leads Modeling and Data Science at Veitur, Iceland's largest utility, where AI has to work inside water, wastewater, district heating, and electricity operations, a world where a wrong answer isn't an awkward demo, it's a cold house in January. Drawing on deployed products, measured results, and honest failures, this talk shows what actually determines whether AI creates value: trust, ownership, changed workflows, and measurement.

Trust me – this is a talk about AI
Trust is the essence of Icelandic society. It acts as a social and interpersonal glue, a building block in industry and finance, and has shaped Icelandic culture and standards throughout sectors and centuries. This applies on a structural level, where implementation and enforcement of rules have often depended on trust-based procedures over prescriptive ones, and on a personal level, where trust has shaped beliefs, norms, and worldview in a homogenous and safe setting. The advent of AI is not the first challenge to trust and its role in Icelandic society, but much indicates it may be the most effective one yet. A small, high-trust society built on informal accountability is precisely the kind of place deepfakes, synthetic voices, and algorithmic decision-making can do the most damage, because the usual social safeguards were never designed to catch them. This talk explores where AI is quietly eroding that trust, and where, deployed deliberately, it can help rebuild it, from tools that verify what's real to systems that extend Iceland's trust-based instincts rather than replace them.
