Dr. María Rún Bjarnadóttir is an Icelandic legal scholar and expert specializing in the intersection of human rights, technology law, and digital violence. She is the head of The Icelandic Task Force on Deepfakes and AI Misuse. Her work on deepfakes and AI misuse brings together her background in policing, human rights, and technology law. Her efforts focus on protecting people from digital harm.
